I like to pre cook this to last a few days. Then I can dish up what I require at any time and heat up in the microwave for a couple of minutes. Or eat cold in the summer. You could also make extra sauce and freeze it in handy portion sized containers.

Ingredients
4ozs Fusilli or other pastagluten free
4ozs smoked baconvisible fat removed and chopped into small pieces
1teaspoonchilli powdermild or hot depending on your preference
2clovesgarlic - crushed and finely chopped
1onion - finely chopped
275gPassata
salt and pepper to taste
Parsley - chopped
1tablespooncooking oil
Instructions
Cook the pasta in a large pan of boiling water. Simmer until al dente - 8 - 10 minutes
Drain and keep warm.
Put the oil in a pan on a medium heat.
Add Bacon and fry until fat begins to run
Add the Onion and Garlic and cook until slightly softened but not burnt
Add the passata and chilli powder.
Simmer until slightly reduced.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Mix the sauce and pasta together and sprinkle parsley on top
Notes
I like to make changes in the mixture by swapping the bacon for mushrooms and sweet peppers gently fried until soft.Not even 1 syn per portion
